Yamaha Motor Europe sign three year partnership renewal

Having worked successfully together since 2022 Two Wheels for Life are delighted to announce that Yamaha Motor Europe (YME) has now extended its partnership with Riders for Health and fundraising partner Two Wheels for Life.

The partnership which has now been extended for a further three years will see Yamaha supporting the organisations with vehicles as well as building a sustainable supply chain, vital to the success of the organisations.

Yamaha’s AG motorcycles play a vital role in the work of Riders for Health as one of the main types of bike provided to community nurses to deliver essential items like bed nets to prevent malaria and post-natal services to families. As part of the partnership Yamaha has so far donated 48 new AG100 units from its own resources.

In 2023 Riders for Health became the title partner of the Ténéré Yamaha Rally Team thanks to the partnership with Yamaha. This saw Pol Tarres and Alessandro Botturi visit Riders for Health The Gambia as part of their effort to raise awareness of Riders for Health.

Yamaha has helped raise funds for the organisation providing memorabilia for prize draws and auctions which has led to €60K made so far from items donated by Yamaha racing teams, fundraising initiatives through Yamaha’s European branches, and supporting Two Wheels for Life’s fundraising at Goodwood Festival of Speed 2024.

The new agreement aims to further continue and enhance Yamaha’s support by:

  • Assisting with the replacement and maintenance Riders’ Yamaha AG fleets, in the regions where they operate.
  • Collaborating closely with Two Wheels for Life to raise funds.
  • Raising awareness for the project, promoting both internal and external. communication campaigns in benefit of Riders for Health.
  • Continuing to donate AG units.

“It is with enthusiasm and a great dedication that we renew this partnership with Riders for Health and Two Wheels for Life, organisations that have such a positive and transformative impact in African communities. At Yamaha, corporate citizenship and community impact are at the heart of our company, and we believe in using our resources to help create lasting positive change. Together we will continue driving meaningful change and building a more equitable future that uplifts the most underserved communities.” – Olivier Prévost, President and CEO of Yamaha  Motor Europe N.V.

“We are honoured to continue our partnership with Yamaha, whose dedication to creating a positive impact on the community aligns so closely with our cause. Their commitment will not only help expand our reach but also amplify the impact we can make together.”
