About the ride

The Gambia is a small country in West Africa with over 80 kilometers of Atlantic coastline. Known for incredible bird life, arts and crafts, sandy beaches, fantastic cuisine and friendly culture, the national language is English with a number of local languages in use including Wolof and Mandinka.

Each motorcycle tour offers a small group of no more than 12 participants a unique experience. As well as road, sand and trail riding, lead by an adventure riding expert, this is a chance to see one of the Riders for Health transport for healthcare programmes up close and follow a community nurse to witness first hand the life-saving work the ride supports.

By taking part in this adventure ride and fundraising, participants’ once-in-a-lifetime experience will make a huge contribution helping motorcycles save lives across Africa.

FUNDRAISING

The ride funds Riders for Health transport for healthcare programmes and will be used to train health workers to ride and maintain motorcycles so they can reliably reach families in some of the most underserved and hardest to reach communities in the world.

All participants are expected to raise a £1600 minimum fundraising donation. This can be raised in total or partially through fundraising (e.g. from charity run, or through friends, colleagues and families via birthday fundraising etc. Two Wheels for Life can support you in this) or just paid by the participant. The fundraising amount is not optional.
