Ride The Gambia

Our new Africa rides kick off with a chance to explore The Gambia on two wheels. The fundraising adventures offer an insider's view of the culture, scenery, food and people, taking in road, sand and trail riding.

Book Ride The Gambia 2027

Join us to ride The Gambia, exploring this wonderful part of West Africa on a two-stroke.

Take in the local culture, scenery and food while experiencing road, sand and trail riding. This is a unique chance to meet like minded people, ride with a health worker and be part of a project that uses motorcycles to save lives across sub-Saharan Africa.

About the ride

The Gambia is a small country in West Africa with over 80 kilometers of Atlantic coastline. Known for incredible bird life, arts and crafts, sandy beaches, fantastic national dishes and friendly culture, the national language is English with a number of national languages in use including Wolof and Mandinka.

Each ride offers a small group of no more than 12 participants a unique experience, seeing a Riders for Health transport for healthcare programmes up close and following a community nurse to see first hand the life-saving work the ride supports.

By taking part and fundraising, participants’ once-in-a-lifetime experience will make a huge contribution helping motorcycles save lives across Africa.

This can be raised in total or partially through fundraising (e.g. from charity run, or through friends, colleagues and families via birthday fundraising etc. Two Wheels for Life can support you in this) or just paid by the participant.
