More about the project
Yamaha Motor Europe launched the all-new Yamaha Ténéré World Raid Rally Team with Two Wheels for Life’s African charity partner, Riders for Health, as title partner to raise over €100,000 to help to replace a fleet of life-saving Yamaha AG100 motorcycles for The Gambia.
The new Yamaha rally team is participating in a special Rally program in 2022 to mark the three-year partnership with Riders for Health, a title partner that Yamaha is proud to display on the Yamaha Ténéré World Raid Rally Team bikes.
The project has seen them contesting the Tunisia Desert Challenge in April, with Alessandro Botturi winning the race, as preparation before taking on the iconic Africa Eco Race, which will run from Monaco to the legendary finish in Dakar, Senegal.
The project aims to raise money for essential equipment and increase awareness of the tremendous work carried out by Riders for Health, supplying, managing and maintaining motorcycles for health-focused operations in Africa.
