Motorcycles save lives Donate

A Tribute to our Chairman Paul Hocking

Paul’s legacy is his huge long-term contribution to Two Wheels for Life and Riders For Health, and his role in building organisations that have brought immense good from the world of motorcycling to the poorest and most remote communities in rural Africa.

Paul was a multi award-winning accountant and senior leader at one of London’s largest accountancy firms, Frank Hirth. An avid motorsport fan, he chose to dedicate enormous personal and professional energy to using motorcycles for good in both his former role as chairman of Riders For Health and more recently as chairman of Two Wheels for Life.

‘We have lost our chairman and the dearest friend we could have ever had. Paul was the best that a human being could be. Without Paul we could not have started Two Wheels for Life to continue life-saving work in Africa. We have loved and lost him but he has left us with an organisation that will fulfill his promise in the way he would expect of us. We will be committed to the mission and we will be seeing and hearing Paul.’ Andrea Coleman, Founder of Two Wheels for Life

‘Paul is irreplaceable and all we can do now is to work hard to uphold his commitment to a better life for people here in Africa.’ Mahali Hlasa, Programme Director of Riders for Health Lesotho

‘We loved Paul for his serious commitment to Two Wheels but also for business acumen and his youthful exuberance. We will miss him very much.’ Randy Mamola, co-founder of Riders for Health and Two Wheels for Life

We will all miss him immeasurably.
