About the Big Ride and Challenges

Do I need to complete all the challenges?
Not at all. It’s all about having fun. Complete as many or few as you’d like.
Are their any rules or restrictions?

All riders and pillions must complete an indemnity form, and wear full protective clothing on road and track, i.e. full one or two piece leathers / textile abrasion proof motorcycle clothing, gloves, boots and helmet for both riders and pillions. Any riders or pillions wearing non-motorcycle clothing such as jeans or trainers will not be permitted on track.

Can I do The Big Ride without a full license, just a CBT?

Yes absolutely! You can’t take part in track but but as long as you follow all the UK rules you can take part in the treasure hunt element of the Big Ride. The below rules are not extensive and it is your responsiblity to make yourself aware of the legal restrictions to your lincence.

If you complete your CBT at 16: If you complete your CBT over age of 16:
You can ride a low-power moped of up to 50cc (maximum speed 28mph) You can ride a 125cc motorcycle with a maximum speed of 60mph
You will have to ride with L-plates on You will have to ride with L-plates on
You are not allowed to carry a pillion passenger You are not allowed to carry a pillion passenger
You are not allowed to ride on motorways You are not allowed to ride on motorways
What safety measures are there?
It is your responsibility to make sure you are legal on the motorcycle you are riding. Normal road laws apply on your journey to Mallory Park, please comply with them at all times.
What time should I arrive at Mallory Park?

What are the timings on the day and does it matter if I’m late for the 3pm deadline at Mallory Park?

The Big Ride Parade

How does ticketing for the “Big Ride parade” work?

Tickets allow you to join some of our motorcycle celebs and other Big Ride participants in a parade lap of Mallory Park at a specified time. More details tbc.

Can young pillion riders complete the Big Ride Parade?

Those under the age of 15 years will not be able to complete the laps on circuit for insurance purposes.

What protective clothing is required for the Big Ride Parade?
