The Gambia 2027
The initiative will kick off in February 2027 with a chance for keen motorcyclists to join us in The Gambia to explore the country on roads and trails and get an insider’s view of the nation’s culture, scenery, food and people.
Participants will adventure on two-stroke Yamaha AG100s the small but mighty motorcycle that is the two wheeled hero of the nation.
They will also visit bustling markets to be wowed by the local crafts, sample local dishes and fresh seafood, explore deserted beaches and meet fellow motorcycle riders.
The ride is a chance to meet with like minded people for a once-in-a-lifetime experience
Fundraising
As well as riding and cultural experiences, participants will learn about Riders for Health’s work as they visit the motorcycle training and workshop facilities and join health workers as they travel on dirt tracks to deliver care to remote communities.
Each participant will be set a minimum target to raise through fundraising in their own network or by donating themselves.
A chance to see a healthworker in action as they use their motorcycle to visit villages delivering vital services.
